ARF membership is valid per calendar year
To be eligible to compete at an ARF event, competitors must be members prior to competing. In addition, any competitors representing Australia in international events will be required to pay an ARF International Competitor membership fee.
Non competitive members are also encouraged to join the ARF where there will be opportunities to gain knowledge and experience with raft racing, e.g. judging races, becoming a volunteer at races or just being part of the excitement.

ARF Members who compete in any overseas rafting competition sanctioned by the ARF and IRF. The International Competitor fee assists in paying the IRF Annual Affiliation fee.

This form is for annual membership of the Australian Rafting Federation (ARF).
In order for your membership to be processed quickly, ensure you read all declarations before submitting the form. This includes reading and agreeing to comply with the ARF Indemnity and Release and Drugs in Sport statements below.

I understand that participating in the activities of the Australian Rafting Federation INC (hereinafter known as “the ARF”) I will be on, in and around flat to rapidly moving water, traversing on rough surfaces and possibly in isolated areas and therefore I am required to be a competent swimmer and without existing injuries that will be aggravated by the circumstances of rafting. I also understand that white water rafting activity carries with it the inherent risk of physical injury, including serious injury such as permanent disability, paralysis and even death and in undertaking such activities I do so at my own risk.
I am also aware that it is a condition to my participation in any official or approved rafting event that the ARF, its officers, employees, representatives, agents, volunteers, instructors, members, or servants are absolved from all liability howsoever arising from injury or damage howsoever caused (whether fatal or otherwise) arising out of my participation in an event or in training, instruction or carriage in any vessel being used for or in connection with raft racing or in any way whatsoever due to any negligent act, breach of duty, default and/or omission on the part of the ARF, its respective officers, employees, representatives, agents, volunteers, instructors, members, or servants.
I am also aware that any person participating in raft racing, learning to raft, training or being involved with any vessel being used for or in connection with raft racing or participating in any activity carried out by the ARF, are only allowed to do so on the distinct understanding that they do so at their own risk.
This agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the parties, their successors, administrators, assigns and personal representatives.
In consideration of being allowed to participate in the activities of the ARF, which includes training for and participating in competition, I do HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE that I have read and understood the warning and indemnity above and agree to release and forever hold harmless from any liability, suit or action howsoever arising AUSTRALIAN RAFTING ASSOCIATION INC and their respective officers, employees, representatives, agents, volunteers, instructors, members, or servants in the event of my injury and/or death.
All ARF competitors are hereby made aware that the ARF adheres to the World Anti-Doping Code of Conduct and it is the responsibility of every individual competitor to be aware of what substances they are consuming and ensure they are not in contravention of the ASADA and WADA policies on Drugs in Sport.
